Connecting Culture and Community is a new series created by the Mayor's Diversity Advisory Committee with a focus on the uniqueness of the Pacific Northwest and the City of Marysville. As we travel through life, shared experiences and learnings shape and change the way we perceive and connect with each other. The intention of this event is to share stories on culture and perspectives from our region. We will provide the structure, the catalyst, and the container for you to build a connection. You will be welcomed with warmth and openness in a safe environment. The evening will begin by showing a few videos, and a conversation will begin from there. Facilitators of the evening consist of members of the Marysville Diversity Advisory Committee, Mayor Jon Nehring, Police Chief Erik Scairpon and Fire Chief Ned Vander Pol. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The Marysville Opera House is a historic building with ADA accessibility on the main level. The balcony is accessible by stairs only. Coffee, water and light concessions available, by donation.
